This was the first painting I did during the 2011 Door County Plein Air Festival this past July. It was early morning, and I saw this out the corner of my eye as I drove along the road through Ephraim, on the Green Bay side of the Door County peninsula. I found easy parking and took all my painting gear to the spot I wanted. There were already artists painting there, but they weren't part of the Festival. I spent an enjoyable cool and quite morning painting and sharing stories with two artists I never expected to meet.
