This year, I was commissioned by the Ohio Arts Council to create
plein air paintings of Ohio for the 2012 Governor’s Awards for the Arts. It was a pleasure to attend the event and learn about all the winners and their contributions to the arts in Ohio!

‘Art in the Open Plein Air Competition’
now in it's 5th year, in County Wexford, Ireland.
My Irish born husband, Martin, and I will be flying to Dublin on August 26th for what I am sure is going to be one heck of a time! Past events have seen artists from several European countries, as well as the USA.
I look forward to meeting the public, the organizers, the artists, and to drinking a great pint of Guinness!!!
After the competition, my 17 year old Grandson, Tyler, who has been a wonderful model for me over the past 10 years, and his Mom, Gina, who posed for the Ohio Plein Air Society Peggi Kroll-Roberts workshop last September, are joining us on August 6th, when we'll do a whirlwind tour of this fantastic country. And, I hope to paint as much as possible along the way.

Lastly, I was thrilled to receive an email notice that I had been juried into the ‘ 2012 Plein Air Rockies’. Sadly, due to the last minute desicion to extend our Irish trip to attend Martin's family reunion in County Mayo, I was not able to accept this fantastic opportunity to paint alongside some of the
finest plein air painters in the country.
